These are the only accessible, mountain-interior glacier falls in Europe.Opening hours: 8 April - mid-November 9.00-17.00 hrs / 8.30-18.00 hrs (July + August) Departure point: Railway station Interlaken Ost Duration: half-day excursion Specials: Lit water falls Tunnel-lift Contact: Trümmelbach Gletscherwasserfälle Familie von Almen CH-3824 Trümmelbach / Stechelberg Tel. +41 (0)33 855 32 32 www.truemmelbach.ch

Along our lakeshores

Discover the unique wealth of flora and fauna in the Weissenau nature reserve at the upper end of Lake Thun. From Interlaken West boat station: walk along the boat canal or the River Aare, past the ruins of Weissenau Castle towards Neuhaus on Lake Thun. From the boat station at Neuhaus: along the lakeside and Aare back to Interlaken West.

Wonderful walks along the banks of the River Aare from
Lake Thun to Lake Brienz. As one example: walk from the centre of Interlaken to the sluice gates at Unterseen, along the Goldey promenade, past the Bödelibad (open-air & indoor swimming pools) towards the Harder Funicular. On alongside the River Aare to the railway viaduct at the beginning of Lake Brienz and either up along the Katzenpfad (path) to Ringgenberg, along the lakeside promenade to Bönigen or along the other side of the river back to Interlaken.
